Our Sourdough is made from our own natural starter and given a slow fermentation resulting in more flavour and making the bread easier to digest.
Our Rye Sourdough is made from 30% Rye Flour and makes a lovely chewy loaf. Our Sourdough Breads are available in our own Bakery and Café in Clonmel
Ingredients: Flour, water, salt and lots of Love!

Black Quarter Breads. Derry

This was great to see. Kevin O’Kane is based in Derry and his business will be called Black Quarter Breads. He told us:

My breads are sourdough based so only flour, water and salt (tiny bit of olive oil) are in my ingredients. Simple ingredients and simple bread (Real Bread!!!!) Also working on gluten free bread as there seems to be a demand for it in my area.

I have yet to start selling but I have met with the owner of a cafe called The Auction Room Coffee & Tea House in Maghera, Co. Derry who is willing to let me sell my breads on site. As you can see early stages but came across your site and it has the exact ethos I have regarding bread.

Welcome Kevin and please let us know when you have Facebook etc and are selling so we can update this post 🙂

UPDATE – Kevin’s Facebook page here

That’s it for this week.
