Best way to support real bread bakers is to buy their bread (and pastries, doughnuts…). But sometimes the capital investment needed in a business needs a little more love than that and that is where crowd funding comes in.
This allows many people (normal members of the public) to make small loans to a business and have them repaid with interest. It can either be a substitute for normal lending from a bank etc or sometimes it will allow a business that cannot access traditional funding to raise a sum of money otherwise unavailable to it.
