Shannen Keane started this bakery in the tiny village of Ballinspittle over a decade ago and these are her words on her baking:
We have baking fresh sourdough, potato, and our crusty white bread for over 13 yrs now. At first we were baking our own bread to serve in the café with our soups & for our sandwiches. Due to popular demand we started selling our fresh breads to the public.
All of breads have a 12-16 hr ferment in our bread fridge before they are baked daily. We hand laminate all of our croissants + danishes.
We sell daily: New York Style Rye(sourdough) Seeded Sourdough Walnut sourdough Wheaten Sourdough Honey porridge + oat Sourdough Golden Potato Bread Crust white Boule.
You can buy their breads from them directly and they also supply the Black Pig Winebar in Kinsale with their baguettes + potato bread.
